Tande Nou
Tande Nou is a video-training program that teaches camp residents to use flip cameras to share their experiences of camp life and their struggles against forced eviction. Tande Nou assists IDP communities in using film to communicate with one another and join in a collective struggle for the right to housing and other human rights in post-earthquake Haiti.
On the Under Tents website, Tande Nou provides an international audience access to first-hand information and video footage from the displacement camps of Port-au-Prince and its environs.
In addition to posting material on the Under Tents website, Tande Nou will use the short films that camps produce as one component of a multimedia-screening series designed to educate and promote housing issues.
Tande Nou is a project coordinated by documentary filmmaker and educator Jon Bougher.
